After finishing the season with 32-37-13 record and failing to make the playoffs, the team replaced GM Randy Sexton with Dale Tallon who now will carry the title Executive Vice President and General Manager.
In the offseason, the team 10 free agents with the most notable being Mike Weaver (2 yr-1.8 million) and Christopher Higgins (1 yr-1.6 million). In the draft, the team, which had the third overall selection, chose Defenceman Erik Gudbranson who is currently with the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL.
